I donot want to get the email to my phone, but only alerts about new mail coming in my gmail inbox. I want to know specifically about gmail now. Will it cost to get alerts in mobile phone and if yes, how much?

Auto forwarding mails to mobile phone as SMS:- In Gmail, go to settings -%26gt; Forwarding and POP and set your messages to forward at the mobile-number-***-email. But i think is chargable
Reply:It is not free. You must subscribe with your service provider and also must have GPRS enabled mobile phone.
